CTR Script Sneak Peek: Michaela in the lunchroom

Most of you probably know by now what our film is about, but we wanted to give you more of an actual taste by letting you read some of the script.  Written by director Emilie McDonald, “Crossing the River” is an emotional and probing look into the lives of two young boys who commit a hate crime against a young biracial girl.  This scene focuses on “Michaela,” played in the film by the talented Desiree Ross, who is in a new school and doesn’t really know anyone yet.  It helps to show her self-consciousness and the loneliness she feels as the “new girl.”
