Martin Luther King Day

“The time is always right to do what is right.”

– Martin Luther King, Jr.

Have you ever listened to Dr. King speak?  WNYC has recently released interviews with Dr. King conducted by reporter Eleanor Fischer in 1961 and from 1966-1967, a year prior to his assassination.  She was making a documentary about him, and you can listen to four different interviews with King as he talks with Fischer about his life.

Go here to access the interviews.

Thank you for providing the links to these timeless words. We have so much to be grateful for in Dr. King’s inspiration. Yet, we also have a long way to go to carry out his legacy.

I chose to write today on the racism that was and still is prevalent among some white Midwesterners. It’s called “Was He Only Dreaming?: Hoosier Perspectives on Martin Luther King”. I’d love for you to check it out and tell me what you think.

Thank you so much for your words. Agreed on both points – so very much to be grateful for and also a long way to go… Both subjects that are broached in “Crossing the River”.

I also really appreciated the honesty of your post on your blog. Thank you very much for sharing it.
